Injured Family Files Comment in Support of FDA Citizen’s Petition Seeking Declaration of Imminent Hazard for Wireless Technology
Dan and Catherine Kleiber filed a comment  in support of the Citizen’s Petition filed with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by American’s for Responsible Technology requesting the agency to Declare an Imminent Hazard with regard to the absence of biologically-protective radiofrequency/microwave (RF/MW) exposure standards.  Radiofrequency/microwave radiation is the radiation emitted by all wireless technology and allows wireless devices to communicate without using wires.
The Kleiber family does not use wireless technology, but has been injured by involuntary exposure to biologically-active levels of ambient RF/MW radiation occurring as a direct result of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) promoting the use of wireless technology without first establishing or asking the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to establish biologically-based population- and environmentally-protective safety standards for the RF/MW radiation exposure.
The Kleibers state, “The mirage of safety that the FDA has fostered leaves many people experiencing RF/MW sickness not only ill, but physically and socially isolated in a way that even the COVID pandemic has not come close to duplicating. Thus, the imminent hazard created by FDA’s negligence and complicity not only threatens the public’s health, it threatens their very social and family networks. This is a total violation of the FDA’s statutory obligation to protect public health and injured individuals’ constitutional rights.”
The Kleiber comment presents evidence that the FDA’s negligent refusal to establish biologically-based population-protective safety standards for wireless radiation exposure has been causing a public health crisis, including links to the rapidly rising rates of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
Furthermore, the FDA has been aware of the growing public health hazard due to the numerous contacts they and the FCC have received from injured individuals since 2010 and before.  The Kleiber comment includes scientific research articles substantiating the serious biological and health effects caused by exposure to RF/MW radiation from wireless technology, past comments submitted to the FDA, the Amicus Curiae Brief submitted in Environmental Health Trust, et al vs. Federal Communications Commission, and a cover letter providing context and highlighting the urgent need for protective action now.
The Kleiber Amicus Curiae Brief included excerpts from over one hundred comments submitted to the FCC by other injured individuals, representing only a portion of the comments submitted by injured individuals.   The comments demonstrate that the FDA’s negligent refusal to establish biologically-protective RF/MW safety standards is allowing serious adverse life-changing biological effects to occur.  Furthermore, these comments provide evidence that FDA’s negligent refusal to establish safety standards for RF/MW exposures from other common electrical devices, classified as Incidentaland Unintentional emitters, is also harming many people.
The Kleiber comment supports ARTs Petition which contends that the public is entitled to know the truth – FDA has not established RF/MW safety limits and public health is already suffering.
