Detoxification Therapies
What Are Detoxification Therapies? – Modern living with all of its exposures to toxic chemicals, heavy metals, mold, plastics, experimental injections, and EMFs has created the need for ongoing detoxification in order to stay healthy.
Our bodies can only handle a finite number of toxic exposures and oxidative stress before mitochondrial health suffers, leading to increased inflammation, hormone and neurotransmitter imbalances, brain fog, low energy, allergies, poor sleep, and an increased risk of more serious illnesses such as chronic immune impairment and cancers. Keep reading to learn more about ways to incorporate daily detox methods into your life.
Diet and Lifestyle – What Are Detoxification Therapies?
Diet and lifestyle practices are the foundation of our health. Each person is unique and not all foods or lifestyle habits will have the same benefit for everyone. I like to recommend the Blood Type Diet as a basic foundation for healthy living. If you do not know your blood type, you can order a test kit to be sent to your home.
Consuming nutrient-dense foods that act as ‘medicine’ to support and heal your body is the foundation of health. Avoiding foods that are considered ‘healthy’, but act as ‘poison’ to your body will help you avoid chronic health problems that are resistant to treatment.
For example, a Type O person will thrive on red meat and vegetables but will need to stay away from grains, beans, sugar, and dairy in order to avoid insulin resistance, allergies, arthritis, and other inflammatory conditions and inappropriate immune responses. Type A people thrive on a more vegetarian diet and do better with yoga and Tai Chi types of physical activity to relax and reduce stress.

Cellular Cleansing and Support
Toxic exposures to viruses, spike proteins, heavy metals, pesticides, chemicals, and EMFs can lead to poor functioning mitochondria, fatigue, poor detoxification, and tissue regeneration, oxidative stress, and a host of metabolic malfunctions. Even an infection or bout with COVID can severely impair mitochondrial health. Optimal mitochondrial function is necessary to provide the ‘energy’ to support healthy detoxification. Nutrients and therapies that support mitochondrial health include:
- D-Ribose
- CoQ10
- PQQ (pyrroquinoline quinone)
- Acetyl L-Carnitine
- NADH
- Riboflavin (B2)
- Epsom Salt Bath
- Bromelain and NAC
- Nattokinase
- RENUAL from Pure Encapsulations
Supplement Therapies for Detox
Numerous food and supplement therapies can assist with detoxification as well as protection against oxidative stress. Glutathione is the ‘master antioxidant’ that our bodies naturally produce, however, our modern, toxic lifestyle overwhelms the body’s ability to keep up with the need to quench oxidative stress. Glutaryl is an easy-to-use topical glutathione formula with transdermal delivery for optimal absorption and efficacy.
Boron and Iodine are also excellent ways to detox the body from molds, chemicals, heavy metals, and other toxic exposures. Boron has many therapeutic uses and is largely depleted in our soil, so our intake of Boron from food is often inadequate. An easy way to supplement with Boron is by taking BoroTab from Hakala Labs. Boron also detoxes the Pineal Gland and helps with proper melatonin production and circadian rhythm function. Healthy and restful sleep patterns are necessary to support healthy detoxification.
A short list of formulas for detoxing include:
- Iodine
- Boron
- Glutathione
- Bentonite Clay
- Chlorella, Cilantro and Parsley
- NAC
- Taurine
- Milk Thistle and Turmeric
- Toxiclear by NeuroBiologix
Exercise and Sleep – What Are Detoxification Therapies?
Daily exercise, restorative sleep, and managing stress support healthy detoxification and autophagy processes. Reducing exposures to the blue light from screens and LED lights, as well as non-ionizing radiation from all wireless technology will benefit the body and mind’s potential to heal.
Set aside time for a daily ‘digital detox’ by spending time in nature instead of in front of a screen. Exposures to both blue light and wireless radiation alter the body’s ability to produce melatonin and also damage pineal gland function.
Lab Testing for Toxins
Great Plains Labs offers several quantitative tests to measure the levels of mold/mycotoxins, glyphosates, heavy metals, and chemicals found in the body. The detailed report also offers directives as to which detoxification methods are most effective for each type of toxic exposure.
Nutrigenomics
Nutrigenomics is the scientific study of the interaction of nutrition and genes, especially with regard to the prevention or treatment of disease. The Detoxification Panel from GX Sciences can reveal valuable information about how nutrients and lifestyle therapies can be employed to support excellent detoxification pathways for those with genetic impairments. Please contact the office to order this simple test.
Many more healing resources are available on the Patient Resources page. Consuming nutrient-dense foods, healthy lifestyle habits including daily exercise, sunlight, restful and restorative sleep, healthy thought patterns, relationships and environments are necessary to achieve true healing.
